About
I'm a down to earth Kiwi gal with strong connections to Central Otago, but I have been living in Mangawhai Heads since 2022, enjoying beach life. I grew up in West Auckland, New Zealand listening to the Rolling Stones, driving cars now considered classics. The 'Planet Mechanic' is inspired from 'celestial mechanics', as well as my appreciation for the automobile and curiosity for fixing and improving things. The images on this website are all of the Ford Zephyr Zodiac, from the era when it was really simple to fix cars - just for fun.
astrology
At age 20, I embarked on over 15 years of travel to over 30 different countries. Most influential was my travel to Africa, South America and my stay in Argenta, BC, Canada. During these years, I met key people who changed my life forever. In 1996, I met Demetra George, world famous astrologer. I attended numerous conferences in the USA and was fortunate to be able to study with some of the world's leading scholars on the subject, at Kepler College of Astrological Arts & Sciences. I achieved an Associate of the Arts Degree in the History and Symbolism of Astrology in 2007. Astrology has always felt like something I am remembering rather than learning for the first time.
Vision
My personal philosophies are influenced by Taoism, Zen, classic Stoicism, Jungian psychology and common sense. I have a deep belief that people can heal. I work with astrology as a tool for empowering others to walk through the cycles ahead of them with greater levels of self awareness. Astrology is a marker of time. With each cycle there is an opportunity to comprehend the forces of the cosmos and to move beyond the temporary states of consciousness induced from the past and beyond the un-truths in the recesses of the mind, and rise up.
